Palestrante: Giusi Capobianco (Roma 2)

Título: The universal tropical theta divisor

Resumo: Given a smooth curve C of genus g, one can associate an
abelian variety called the Jacobian Jac(C). It carries a natural
principal polarization given by the theta divisor, that parametrizes
divisors of degree g-1 with at least one section. In 2009, Caporaso
studied the theta divisor for nodal curves and exhibits a
stratification via partial normalizations. In joint work with M.
Pacini and A. Guedes we study the tropical theta divisor. We give a
stratification via the poset of quasistable divisors with non-empty
linear system. In this talk I will describe the construction and
discuss the universal picture.
We define a universal cone complex that parametrizes effective
divisors of degree g-1 over tropical curves with a marked point. This
is secretly related to Caporaso’s construction via tropicalization.

Data: Quarta-feira, 09 de setembro, 15 horas
