We are delighted to announce the 6th edition of LEGAL (Liberdade em Geometria Algébrica), which will take place from March 1st to 6th, 2027, at Sítio Assunção in Teresópolis – RJ, Brazil.
About LEGAL
LEGAL is a recurring conference specifically designed for young mathematicians working in the field of Algebraic Geometry. Our goal is to foster a collaborative and welcoming environment to exchange ideas, share recent developments, and support the next generation of researchers in the area.
This edition’s program will feature a minicourse, plenary talks, and dedicated mentoring sessions.
Call for Registrations and Financial Support: Registrations are now open and will close on August 30th. Please complete your registration and submit your talk proposals via our official website:

We encourage young algebraic geometers (up to 10 years post-PhD) to participate and send in proposals for talks. Please note that space and financial support for this event are limited.
Registration does not guarantee a spot; selection will be based on availability and, for financial support, on eligibility criteria. The available funding will exclusively cover accommodation and meals during the event, meals, and ground transportation between Rio de Janeiro and Teresópolis. Because spots are limited, we highly encourage you to register as early as possible.
